Payroll Systems was established in 1991.  The company was founded on the premise that a quality, local payroll service was needed in Northern Nevada.  Businesses with one to several hundred employees did not have a good option for payroll processing, tax services and other employer services.   Since 1991, Payroll Systems has grown and now provides payroll services to over 1000 businesses primarily in Nevada, Arizona and California. 

 

Payroll Systems has become one of the fastest growing independent payroll services providers in the West.  We combine very experienced payroll professionals with excellent customer service and state-of-the-art software to deliver a complete line of payroll, tax and employer services.

 LEADERSHIP TEAM

Mark Clason - President

  • 20+ Years Payroll Processing Experience.

  • 1984 to 1996 with large payroll provider in central California.

  • 1996 to 2004 partner in Payroll Software Development company, Payroll Associates Inc. Payroll Associates is the nationwide leader in providing payroll software for independent processors.

  • 1996 Installed and trained Payroll Systems to use Payroll Associates software.  

  • 2004 and 2005 Purchased Payroll Systems

Dwight Wagner – Director of Operations

  • Dwight Wagner has more than 16 years of experience with a large multinational company in a variety of positions and 4 years experience with the Defense Department as an auditor.

  • His career has included time in internal audit, SOX implementation and compliance, project management, corporate accounting and finance manager of a $400M division.  He now leads Payroll System’s operations and accounting functions.

  • Dwight has a BS in Accounting from BYU and a MBA from Rutgers University.


Larry Goldman – Partner

  • With more than ten years of public accounting experience, Larry Goldman now leads Ace Payroll’s financial, operational, and IT management.

  • His career includes tenures at several leading regional accounting firms where, as staff and management accountant, he developed expertise in taxation, financial business planning, automation, auditing, quality control, and technology planning.

  • Goldman’s expertise with automated processes and technology has served him well at Ace, where he is responsible for creating and maintaining the company’s technology infrastructure.

  • It is his attention process and customer service best practices that have led to the company’s industry-leading client retention rate of 98 percent.

Alan Klein - Partner

  • Alan Klein has more than fifteen years of experience in public accounting and now oversees all of the sales, corporate development, education, and marketing at Ace.

  • He enjoyed a distinguished career as a staff accountant and management accountant at a number of leading regional accounting firms where he developed expertise in management, documentation procedures, and staff training. These highly developed management and administrative skills have served him and Ace very well.

  • Klein is a resident of Long Island and his decision to establish Ace there grew from his interest in contributing to local commerce.

  • A skilled and experienced public speaker, Klein has delivered numerous talks about key issues in the worlds of accounting and payroll services.

  • Klein earned a B.S. in Accounting from Farleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford, NJ.
